"Alive!" Tour

1975, October 3
Upper Darby, PA
Tower Theatre
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / Got To Choose / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Nothin' To Lose / C'mon And Love Me / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll.
Notes: Peter's mic drops out during "Black Diamond" and Paul tries to help out with the vocals.
Quality: An AUD recording exists from this show, but doesn't widely circulate.

1975, October 9
High School Gymnasium
Cadillac, MI
Set list: Deuce ... Hotter Than Hell / {unknown}.
Notes: This famous performance was in conjunction with the band's visit to Cadillac, MI for the High School's home coming celebration. Apparently, Gene didn't spit blood during the show, though did spit fire.
Quality: This show does not widely circulate, though parts were featured on the "Kissology Vol. 1" DVD. The angles seem to indicate that multiple angles were filmed, though it's currently not known how much of the show was archived.

1975, November 15
National Guard Armory
Rockford, IL
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / Got To Choose / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Ladies In Waiting / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite
Notes:
Quality: Good show from the "Alive!" tour with a rare performance of "Ladies In Waiting."

1975, November 30
Capitol Center
Largo, MD
Set list: Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll
Notes: Only the encores from this show circulate on video raising the tantalizing question about whether there's "more."
Quality: Pro-shot video. Reasonable, and cool due to very close camera work, giving an interesting view of the stage. Audio, or at least the mix, leaves a bit to be desired.

1975, December 5
The Omni
Atlanta, GA
Set list: ~unknown.
Notes: ~unknown.
Quality: This video recording does not widely circulate.

Waterbury Version 1

1975, December 18
Palace Theatre
Waterbury, CT
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Ace Frehley Guitar Solo / Ladies In Waiting / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Peter Criss Drum Solo / Black Diamond / Cold Gin
Notes: Video footage runs about 14:24, so roughly 1/5 of the show is represented. Regardless of the nature of the footage, Gene setting his hair on fire is captured.
Quality: Currently circulating AUD recording is available as lossy-sourced. Filmed in silent Super8, the quality of which makes it rather difficult to decipher what may have been performed.

Waterbury Version 2

1975, Unknown Date
Paramount Theatre
Portland, OR
Set list: ~unknown.
Notes: This show was filmed, but does not circulate and is owned by VH-1. Parts were used in the first episode of "Heavy: The Story of Metal" broadcast in 2006.
Quality: Pro-shot footage.

1976, January 25
Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Ladies In Waiting / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond
Notes: Missing the presumed encores, but notable for the inclusion of "Ladies In Waiting," and Paul knocking his mic over during "Strutter."
Quality: Pro-shot video with equal quality audio. This show was officially released as the third bonus DVD as part of the "Kissology Vol. 1" DVD package offered by "Best Buy."

1976, January 26
Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than hell / Firehouse / She / Parasite / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll
Notes: Complete, versus night 1, though "Parasite" replaces "Ladies In Waiting."
Quality: Pro-shot with equal quality audio, though tape issues affect parts of the show as do some audio effects, which may be the result of the band's instruments tuning. This show was officially released on the "Kissology Vol. 1" DVD.

1976, January 27
Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Parasite / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond
Notes: Parts of this show have been released, on the "Kiss My Ass" video. Like the first night the encores are missing from the video.
Quality: Pro-shot video, does not generally circulate. It's generally believed that the reels suffered physical damage that affect their quality, though the "Kiss My Ass" videos would seem to suggest that were that the case any damage does not affect the whole available show.

1976, February 4
Milwaukee Auditorium
Milwaukee, WI
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Ace Frehley Guitar Solo / Parasite / Nothin' To Lose / 100,000 Years / Peter Criss Drum Solo / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll
Notes: What circulates from this show is incomplete. Enjoyable, but far from perfect. The first part of the show is pretty solid, even though it's missing the city name on the intro (mentioned plenty of times throughout the set, which with the set makes it clear what tour this is for dating purposes). Issues begin with the transition from 08 to 09 with a level drop on one channel. There's a noticeable edit there where the two sections are rejoined though no adjustment has been done sonically. Tape flip occurs following 100K Years, though the second side restarts from the beginning of that song forcing another edit. Levels change again in the transition between 10 to 11. Transitions between 15 to 16, another at the start of the first riff of "Cold Gin," and 17 to 18 have had to be edited due to the source tape fading-out/in between these. The show may or may not have ended with "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll" - missing from this tape. Nearly 10 minutes of silent 8mm footage also exists. Surfaced in March 2014.
Quality: A below average AUD recording. A bit bass heavy, muffled, variable and has some other issues, BUT it's KISS Alive! tour show from 1976.

1976, March 21
Miami Jai-Alai Fronton
Miami, FL
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Parasite / Nothin' To Lose / Shout It Out Loud / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll
Notes: While still technically the "Alive!" tour, material from "Destroyer" started making its way into the band's sets.
Quality: A very good AUD recording.

1976, March 24
Philadelphia, PA
Civic Center
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / C'mon And Love Me / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / She / Parasite / Nothin' To Lose / Shout It Out Loud / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite / Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll.
Notes: An AUD recording of this show exists.
Quality: A very good AUD recording.

1976, March 28
Civic Center
Springfield, MA
Set list: ~unknown.
Notes: The final show of the "Alive!" tour, of which roughly 10 minutes is archived.
Quality: Filmed in silent Super8, the quality of which makes it rather difficult to decipher what may have been performed.

1976, April 22
Civic Center
Ottawa, ON, Canada
Partial set list: Deuce / Stutter / Flaming Youth / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / Nothin' To Lose / God of Thunder / 100,000 Years
Notes: Nearly 10 minutes of silent 8mm footage circulates from this show. Married to audio from other gigs from the period it confirms that "God of Thunder" was performed with the "Alive!" costumes. Disjointed and partial, it's not possible to determine the definite set order, though it probably flowed similar to the end of the "Alive!" tour.
Quality: See notes.

1976, April 24
London Arena
London, ON, Canada
Partial set list: Deuce / Strutter / Flaming Youth / Hotter than Hell / Firehouse
Notes: Silent 8mm footage was filmed at this show.
Quality: Cuts from 5 songs with audio were posted on YouTube in 2009. The video was originally shot by P. Boyd using a 1/4" AKAI reel to reel system.

1976, May 1
The Americana Hotel
New York City, NY
Set list: Strutter / Rock And Roll All Nite / Nothin' To Lose
Notes: An impromptu unmasked jam at Ace and Jeanette's wedding using the wedding band's equipment.
Quality: Hand shot footage is reasonable quality for the era, but certainly far from pro-shot! Only one of the songs has been released so far, as an Easter-egg on the "Kissology Vol. 1" DVD.
