Section 3. The recording of "Hotter Than Hell" was more of a pit-stop. There also aren't as many recordings from the tour and it's rather poorly represented. However, one stunning soundboard and the classic "Winterland" video should make most people happy.

"Hotter Than Hell" Tour

1974, October 18
Parthenon Theatre
Hammond, IN
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / Got To Choose / Firehouse / She / Nothin' To Lose / Parasite / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll / Cold Gin
Notes: The second show of the "Hotter Than Hell" tour and first major change to the set list in over a year.
Quality: A partial recording from this show circulates.

1974, October 21
The Brewery
East Lansing, MI
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / Got To Choose / Firehouse / She / Nothin' To Lose / Parasite / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll / Cold Gin
Notes: The fourth show of the "Hotter Than Hell" tour. Unfortunately, the rest of the tour is missing archive recordings.
Quality: Excellent. Sourced from the master SBD.

1974, Unknown Date
Unknown Venue
Unknown Location
Set list: .. / Firehouse / ..
Notes: 55 seconds including live color footage, which from Gene breathing fire includes one obvious song. Where and when this was shot is unknown, but whatever venue it was the Kiss logo needed to be placed on the side of the stage due to height limitations. All audio is over-dubbed.
Quality: Resonable enough to get a color view of Kiss live in 1974!

1975, January 31
Winterland Ballroom
San Francisco, CA
Set list: Deuce / Strutter / Got To Choose / Hotter Than Hell / Firehouse / Watchin' You / Nothin' To Lose / Parasite / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Cold Gin / Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll
Notes: Headlining over Ely and Third Rail. This show was filmed in b/w by the venue's in-house cameras and was long a common bootleg show, both as audio and video. It was finally released in full on the "Kissology Vol. 1" DVD.
Quality: Fans often debate what version of this video is better, the official release or fan "remasters." However, all have similar tape glitches at the beginning of "Deuce," throughout other songs, and an abreviated version of "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll" that's missing a significant section during the jam. The "Kissology" version simply fades out while fan versions return for the end of the show stage rap from Paul.
